last month WTOP radio did a piece call places that are gone the piece was hosted by Neil Augenstein
Neil himself was a member of the music scene in his youth
not only attending the shows but as the front man of a Mod band, Modest Proposal, if I remember correctly
(neil was at the PUNK LOVE exhibit the other night along with Bill Crandal also of Modest Proposal, Mod would fall under the umbrella of PUNK, if you do not know what Mod is.... see Paul Weller and The Jam)

if I recall Perry Flint was in that band
they hosted parties at their group house in Chevy Chase
we were just high school kids... they never minded our crashing their parties
as we were there more to dance then to drink their beer or hit on their women
